Help?

This has been going on for a while now, but I can't listen/download any songs from the Multimedia section. Whenever I click on it, a QuickTime logo pops up and then a question mark, and when I try to download it says I don't have permission? Help?

Did you make any changes to your computer lately? Do you have all the needed media codecs to play the songs/videos? And are you sure you have all the needed plug-ins for your web browser to view the media?

Lemme know.

You're making sure to right-click on the files, right?

I just tried it, when I'm logged in I can only access the forums. When I'm logged out I can download some things (I just downloaded two videos and I downloaded one song) but about 80% of the songs I can't download for some unknown reason.

To my knowledge, I haven't made any changes lately, and I use QuickTime and it's completely up-to-date. I don't know of any other plug-ins that I would need, I have a Mac so I'm not positive.

I'm not sure to be honest with you. I assume you use Safari as your browser? Maybe try using a different browser like FireFox. Then install any necessary plug-ins for it, in order for it to be able to download mp3s.

I don't know a thing about Macs either, sorry man. Good luck though.

With Firefox, if you visit a page that has a song or video embedded, it'll display a pop-up on top that asks you to install the missing plug-in to play the media. Most of the time you'll hafto click "install manually" which will take you to the download page you need. But try to view something like YouTube, or the media section here with FireFox...it should then prompt you to download the needed plugins with a mini-popup.

Also, heres the download page for plugins.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:7

PS- Certain programs hafto be installed to be used as plugins, such as Windows Media Player and QuickTime. And sorry for making everything sound so complicated, its all fairly easy. lol
