Megadef Drum & Bass Remix EP

I’m actively in the process of making a Drum & Bass remix EP using the acapellas from the Megadef album. These are some of the hardest lyrics from Styles in my opinion. It was definitely a big change from 2000 Fold as far as lyrical content is concerned. Simply put, they came hard as fuck on this album. I'm putting my other projects aside to make this 4 track EP. I'd like to drop it mid to late 2010. Of course it's completely underground so you know it's free to the masses and for the fans. I'm currently working on the first track which is "Outta Control". Let me know your thoughts on all this.

My thoughts are: That's exactly what we're wanting (fan-mixes, that is)!
Good luck on the mixes.

I still haven't figured out exactly what I wanna do with them myself.

Just think about what type of music really gets your kicks in a twist. What type of track really pumps you up and at the same time compliments the lyrical content. Hope this helps.

That's the general idea; I'm thinking of (trying to) pulling off (humbly) Cheapshot's original Mega Dudical! idea (no copyright/genius infringement intended).

But I haven't decided yet.

I've been so busy, I really should just sit down and start messing around one of these days.

Good luck to both you guys on whatever you try to put together. I'm usually all ears when a member here puts something out, just give us the heads up and I'm sure you'll get some feedback on it. (I try my best to respond back after I give things a thorough listen, although I could have forgotten to in the past)

But yea, keep us informed. And check these out if you haven't already done so (if your into SOB and DnB then I'm sure you've already heard'em)

Hey thanks for the support man. It's much appreciated. Yeah I've heard both those tracks before and they're pretty good. My style is a bit different from those tracks, but still DnB nonetheless. I will surely keep posting updates with production progress and what tracks I'm remixing at the time.

I just rendered the rough draft for "Outta Control". Sounds pretty heavy, but still needs some refining. The biggest challenge has been cutting and timing the vocal samples to fit the track. I'd like to leak it out to get some feedback, but it's not quite ready and I don't want to represent SOB in a negative way. More to follow.

Sounds great man, can't wait to hear this.
You should ask GBC to do some drops for you for this remix LP/EP.

And I know what you mean; after like an hour of trying to get vocals to match perfectly, it all starts to sound the same to me; I'm just terrible at that part of mixing.
So I've released a few badly mixed mixes before myself, haha.
